This web site is a labor of love. Ideally, I’d like to make enough money from it to break even. And it would be wonderful if the site became famous and generated enough income to pay for some of my travel. Since this is a labor of love, I’ll continue to scour the internet for interesting articles, helpful hints, and the occasional great deal. If you like the site, please share it.
I am a retired broadcaster, husband, father, and grandfather who loves to travel.
The world is an amazing place, and I want to see as much of it as I can, while I’m still able to get around. I created this site to share stories and travel deals.
When I travel, I tend do it as cheaply as possible, and I try to get everything into a backpack. But, you reach a point in your life where the things you could do at 20 or 30 you can no longer do, or you just choose not to do. At 20 or 30 I wouldn’t hesitate to backpack on the cheap and stay in a dorm room at a hostel. Now, I’d rather have my own room and my own bathroom.
My posts will try to address a range of comforts from a hostel to a nice hotel; from an adventurous outing to something that can be accomplished by someone with limited mobility, and everything in between.
Thanks for stopping by. Remember, you’re never too old to see the world.
I am a map nerd. If you’d like to see a map of where I’ve been, click here.
